Nian Guo are left over from Chinese new Year as it is only tasty after frying with sweet potatoes, in the first instant when new it is sticky and cannot cut into slices for eating or frying..
Sweet potatoes and yam slices could use together to offer 2 taste a one go, just sandwhich one slice of nian guo with 2 slices of sweet potatoes dip into ready mix flour then it is into the wok of hot oil..
Best to eat it while it is still warm but not hot...
