Bamboo leaves after boiling for 4 hrs, then soak in water for over night then wash it and dry it before it can be use for the wrapping of dumpling.
Same with the straw strings rewuire boiling for 4 hrs can boil it together with the bamboo leaves otherwise to tough cannot be use to tight up the dumpling.
