Awana Kijal private beach estimate 7 km long the far end is the Star Cruise jetty, beach sand are fine and no rubbish at all whereas our Port Dickson rubbish and dirty with broken bottle and hotel waste water all out into the sea so polluted... you get shin itchyness or bite by sand fly etc.
The sea water in the east coast and beach are the best in Malaysia but around December time it is moonson season so water are rough but still enjoy the weave splashing on to you by just staying at the edge of the beach.
Grandson sure take advantage to meditate.
