The Zhongshan city was an ancient city of 5000 years and was liberated on 30th October 1948 and on 22nd December 83 upgraded to city status. The Shangri-la hotel where I stay was located in the new develope area zone where the express road is wide with 5 lanes on each sides and plenty with row and row of trees etc. I am impress with all the express road outside the city which are equally 5 lanes on eac sides with trees and small plants, flowers planted it is going to be garden city.
The Sunwen Road is just next to Shanggri-la hotel one long road that led you to the older section of the city centre. By taxi the journey take about 10 -15 minutes the fares 15 $yuan. The older road s near the city centre are a bit narrow but there is no traffic jam like Guangzhou city. The Sunwen Pedestrain street for shopping was an interesting place to visit and explore the old building with shops for shopping.All other roads next to Sunwen pedestrain street are equally a god place for shopping etc.
